The Private Cabins

Three houses, one quiet adventure.

Hidden within the hills and sea of Kurahashi Island,
three tiny houses stand—separate yet united under one vast sky.

At Tiny House ZEN, they are reserved for a single group.
Why?
Because this is not just a stay.
It’s the start of a quiet adventure—
a journey inward, where stillness becomes your compass.

A comfortable stay in harmony with the scenic beauty of scattered islands—your private basecamp in Setouchi.

This designer-built tiny house is made up of three separate structures: a bedroom cabin, a living space, and a private bathhouse.
Each is connected by a wooden deck with a shaded pergola, allowing for easy movement under the open sky.

At the heart of the space, a vivid red retractable tent offers both sun and rain protection—inviting you to pause, breathe, and take in the view.

The exteriors are finished with traditional charred cedar siding, blending seamlessly into the natural landscape while offering privacy.
In summer, reed shades soften the sunlight, creating a calm, cooling glow.

Accommodating up to four guests, the house features convenient self check-in—so your adventure can begin the moment you arrive.

Three spaces, gently sharing one hillside.
Come with close friends, with family—or simply with yourself.

Sometimes, you’ll gather around the lantern-lit table.Other times, you’ll slip away into the quiet with a good book.

Here, the distance between people—and between you and yourself—feels just right.
It’s a place where connection and solitude flow freely, like the tide.

The three tiny houses of Tiny House ZEN Kurahashi
each hold their own quiet—and together, they shape a single, timeless experience.

Surrounded by sea and wind,
this is where your journey begins—
a journey to rediscover your rhythm,
and return to yourself.

Return to your childlike wonder.
Reclaim your calm.

Inside the tiny house, you’ll find storybooks, binoculars, star charts, and a meditation cushion—simple tools for gentle escapes from the everyday.
Gazing through the binoculars at distant islands, passing boats, or the ancient volcanic peak, you may lose track of time without even noticing.
