Operating Company

The place that helped me heal—now yours to discover.

This is a small hideaway nestled in a quiet inlet on Kurahashi Island.
Look up, and the sky feels endless.
Now and then, the sound of waves gently brushes against your heart.

As we grow older, our childhood sense of wonder drifts further away.
But somehow, when you step into this tiny cabin,
a younger version of yourself begins to stir—quietly, curiously.
Here, both children and adults are invited to realign through play and presence.

I live in Tokyo, and in my everyday life,
I’ve come to value the moments when nature gently restores me.
This little inn was born from that same rhythm—
not as an escape from daily life,
but as a quiet extension of it.

There’s nothing flashy or dramatic here.
Just the wind moving through the trees.
The sea shimmering just beyond.
The light slowly shifting throughout the day.

But in that stillness, your own words return.
You remember something tender within yourself.

Here, you are free—
to speak or not,
to laugh or cry,
to simply be.

As the host of this place,
I hope to nurture it as a space where quiet, questions, and joy meet.
And within that time,
I hope a small light within you gently flickers back to life.

A Journey That Began with Nature

I was born and raised in Tokyo. My connection to Hiroshima began when I joined “Hiroshima Satoyama Wave,” a program organized by the Hiroshima Prefectural Government to foster community ties.

As part of the project, I visited Kurahashi Island for a study tour—and was immediately captivated by the stunning seascape of Katsuragahama. The serenity of the Seto Inland Sea, the layers of island silhouettes, the soft sounds of nature—it all brought me a deep sense of peace. I knew then that I wanted to share this feeling with others.

I’ve explored many places around the Seto Inland Sea, but few offer such untouched beauty and the breathtaking harmony of “multi-island landscapes” (tōtōbi) like Kurahashi does.

Standing here, facing this view, you feel quietly held by the landscape.
The wind, the birdsong, the distant islands—they all seem to whisper:
“It’s okay. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.”

This scenery has given me strength and reminded me that I’m enough, just as I am.

I hope that for every guest who visits, this place offers a gentle moment of clarity—a soft realization that nothing needs to be added or changed.

Why a Tiny House?

We chose a tiny house to help you feel more connected to nature.
The boundaries between inside and outside gently blur, allowing the sea breeze and sunlight to flow freely through the space.

At Tiny House ZEN, you can enjoy a peaceful escape from the everyday.
Nearby, you’ll also find local spots to explore and unwind.

About the Founder

As a freelance writer, I have covered many regional revitalization initiatives and have a deep understanding of Japan’s inbound tourism. Previously, I served as the editor-in-chief of Yamatogokoro.jp, a leading inbound tourism portal in Japan. Through my work, I recognized the challenges of attracting international visitors to regional areas and decided to take action.

I began by hosting travelers from around the world at my home in Nishi-Ogikubo, Tokyo, and now, I am bringing that experience to Kurahashi Island, where I hope to welcome guests seeking a truly special and immersive stay.
